Detailed CUET Exam Pattern 2023!

For undergraduate admissions, the National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the CUET, which assesses applicants’ general thinking and ability on all levels. For PG candidates, a different version of this national exam is administered, which is used to offer admission to deserving candidates in India’s top Central Universities. The candidate needs to be familiar with the CUET exam pattern 2023 before they can begin CUET 2023 preparation.

CUET Exam Pattern 2023

Before beginning their test preparation, students should be aware of the CUET exam pattern 2023.

The CUET 2023 will have three sections: Languages, Domain, and General Test. Candidates may select from 13 languages for the first sub-section and 20 languages for the second in the first section, “Languages,” which has two further sub-sections. Students choose 27 different domain subjects for the domain subject portion. The last section of the general test covers a wide range of topics, including current events, mental and numerical abilities, and general awareness. Candidates must use caution when taking the CUET exam because this test has a negative marking.

There is a negative marking for wrong answers. For one wrong question, one mark will be deducted.

CUET Syllabus 2023

The three sections of the CUET exam are the language test, the domain test, and the general test. As a result, the syllabus has been organised following the exam’s components.

Language Test: The applicants’ linguistic abilities are evaluated in this part of the CUET 2023 exam. The candidates must select the language that the section will test. You must choose one language from IA and one language from IB. The languages included are: 

Languages under section IA (13 in total)

English; Hindi; Telugu; Kannada; Malayalam; Tamil; Marathi; Urdu; Odiya; Assamese; Punjabi; Bengali; Gujarati.

Languages under Section IB (20 in total)

Konkani; Bodo; Dogri; French; Nepali; Persian; Italian; Arabic; Sindhi; Spanish; German; Russian; Japanese; Chinese; Tibetan; Kashmiri; Maithili; Manipuri; Santhali; Sanskrit.

Domain Test: There will be subject-specific questions in this test. The candidates will choose the subjects that must be considered for the domain test. The subject a person studied in 12th grade will be taken into consideration while making a decision. The following 24 subjects are available for the aspirants to select from on the list:

General Test: The general test evaluates candidates’ general aptitude and knowledge. The section will cover the following topics in the questions:

General Knowledge; Current affairs; General Mental Ability; Numerical Abilities; Quantitative reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra/geometry/mensuration/ statistics taught till 8th Grade); Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
